Solar Energy Options Become More And More Popular

While some solar panel manufacturers are already calling it a year, as they are unable to take on more demands for product due to shortages in supplies, others are upping the ante and bringing even more options to residents and businesses on how they can go solar.

According to the Arizona Republic, BP Solar in Houston is maxed out and cannot fulfill anymore requests for product as of September 7, 2008 (or sooner, but that is when the article was published). Claiming that the fast-approaching deadline to get tax credit for their solar energy purchases, and the decrease in availability of silicon, the 2008 season came to an end earlier than expected.

But, others, like Lumos, aren't stopping now. They even introduced a free standing, two-car carport that has solar panels integrated into its structure on September 2. Now you can extend the power of solar beyond your home and business and to your car.
